By the term “organic traffic” I mean the traffic which comes to your blog through search engines like Google. If you are a new blogger then you should be aware with the Google Webmaster Tools now Search Console. This is a great tool that is provided by Google itself. It helps your blog being indexed in Google and improve its crawling rate.

You just need to verify your blog ownership in Google Webmaster Tools and then submit an xml sitemap, not an HTML Sitemap as it supports only the XML format for sitemaps.

- Go To Webmaster Tools Homepage >> Look for your blog
- Go To Your Blog's Dashboard
- Click "Optimization" In The Left Side and Go To "Sitemaps"

- Click On "Add/Test Sitemap"

Update 2023: You can now submit a default sitemap like yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml to Search Console and it will generate sitemaps for you.
