How To Submit Blogger Sitemap To Google Search Console?

To be successful in your blogging career you must have to generate decent organic traffic to your blog. By the term “organic traffic” I mean the traffic which comes to your blog through search engines like Google. If you are a new blogger then you should be aware with the Google Webmaster Tools now Search Console. This is a great tool that is provided by Google itself. It helps your blog being indexed in Google and improve its crawling rate.

You just need to verify your blog ownership in Google Webmaster Tools and then submit an xml sitemap, not an HTML Sitemap as it supports only the XML format for sitemaps.

It is very important to submit Blogger sitemap to Google in terms of SEO which tells Google about your blog and its content. Whenever you update your blog with new posts, your sitemap helps to index them easily in search engines. This is the topic of my today’s post.

It is very important for your blog. If you don’t submit your sitemap to Google so I surely tell you. You do not get some better traffic on your blog. You don’t know how it is important for Google search crawlers for indexing your site pages. And also remember submitting a sitemap to search engines is also part of off-page SEO and it's so important for your blog.

How To Submit Sitemap To Google?

  • Go To Webmaster Tools Homepage  >> Look for your blog
  • Go To Your Blog's Dashboard 
  • Click "Optimization" In The Left Side and Go To "Sitemaps"

  • Click On "Add/Test Sitemap"

  • Copy The Code Below and Paste It In The Text Box and Press "Submit Sitemap"

    atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
  • Note : The above code is for 1 to 500 posts and if you have more than 500 posts published on your blog then just copy the two lines below and paste it on that text box and add it twice. 

    atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=500&max-results=1000 

    Update 2023: You can now submit a default sitemap like yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml to Search Console and it will generate sitemaps for you. 

  • CONGRATULATIONS! You've successfully submitted a sitemap to Google. Now you have to wait about a week for completing the indexation.
