Eid Al-Fitr 2020 to Be Celebrated on Same-Day in All Islamic Countries
Federal Minister for Science and Technology (Pakistan) Fawad Chaudhry claimed in a program on a private TV channel that:
This time Eid will be celebrated on the same day in all Islamic countries, he said, adding that most Islamic countries have already announced the date of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Sunday, May 24 in all Islamic countries including Pakistan and all over the world.

On the other hand, FM Science/Tech Fawad Chaudhry has once again demanded the abolition of the Ruwit Hilal Committee.
Fawad Chaudhry says that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on May 24 but the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee wants to celebrate Eid on Monday.
Sources said that the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee stopped the Meteorological Department from predicting the Shawwal moon. The Meteorological Department was stopped from forecasting by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

He added that he would bring up the necessary issues in a press conference tomorrow.

On the other hand, a meeting of the Central Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee has been convened in Karachi on May 23 to observe the Shawwal moon. The meeting will be chaired by the Central Chairman of the committee.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said in a statement that a meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee has been convened in Karachi on Saturday under the chairmanship of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.
