This feature allows users to ask questions about documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, and presentations, and receive summaries or specific information without opening each file individually, just like magic.

Here's How:

To use this feature, click the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right corner of Google Drive.

You can then type prompts like "Summarize the key points in 'Sales Team Meeting Notes'" or "When is our contract with Vendor A expiring?" Gemini will analyze the content and provide a response, including the sources used for the answer.

You can also reference specific files by typing "@" followed by the file name, allowing Gemini to focus on particular documents.

This functionality is available to users with Google One AI Premium subscriptions, as well as those on Google Workspace plans with the Gemini add-on.

And this latest AI feature in Google Drive supports summarizing information across multiple files, providing a cohesive overview of projects or topics.

It looks like Google's integrating Gemini into Google Drive, with an aim to streamline workflows and enhance productivity, allowing users to quickly access and understand their documents through natural language queries rather than going back and forth every time.
