Dubai YouTuber Buys Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Retail Unit Ahead of Launch
Sahil Karoul, a tech YouTuber based in Dubai, purchased a retail unit of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra from a local vendor on February 22, 2026.

He shared images and videos of the device on X, including an unboxing and comparisons with other flagships such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and Vivo X300 Pro.

The S26 Ultra appears in a white finish with dimensions measuring 162.8 x 77.3 x 8.4 millimeters and a weight of 232 grams.

Its design includes rounded corners and an oval camera island that groups three of the four rear cameras, differing from the separate lens setup on prior models.
Karoul transferred data from his previous device to the new unit and activated it, revealing software based on Android 16 with One UI 8.1.
He focused on the privacy display feature in a dedicated video.

The settings menu lists options under "Security and privacy," including "Privacy display" and "Maximum display protection." When toggled on, the feature uses Flex Magic Pixel technology to adjust pixel light direction at the OLED level.
From a direct front view, the screen remains clear and bright at full resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. From side angles exceeding 30 degrees, the display dims to near black, obscuring content without affecting the user's experience or requiring additional accessories.
The device model number is SM-S944B/DS, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and storage configurations up to 1TB.
The rear camera system consists of a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP 3x telephoto, and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto.
The front camera is 12MP. Battery capacity stands at 5000mAh with 45W wired charging support.
The S Pen stylus inserts tip-down into the bottom frame, without Bluetooth connectivity, as per Sahil Karoul's unexpected biggest leak of the tech world.

Samsung scheduled the Galaxy Unpacked event for February 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. PT in San Francisco to introduce the Galaxy S26 series.
The company stated in its invitation:
"Samsung’s newest Galaxy innovations, including the new Galaxy S series; built to simplify everyday interactions, inspire confidence, and make Galaxy AI feel seamlessly integrated from the moment it’s in hand; marking a new phase in the era of AI as intelligence becomes truly personal and adaptive."
The event streams live globally. Karoul paid approximately $3,300 for the unit at Deira Market in Dubai.
