Xiaomi launches Mijia Water Purifier 2 1600G in China with 7-year RO filter

Xiaomi has started selling the Mijia Water Purifier 2 1600G in China for 1,999 yuan, with the product page showing a 1,799.1 yuan price after the government subsidy.
The company’s store listing describes it as “米家净水器2 1600G. 母婴级健康水,鲜活大水量,” signalling a push toward faster under-sink filtration and longer service life in its kitchen lineup.
IT Home said the purifier uses a dual-core fine-filtration water path system, can remove 145 pollutants, and comes with a 7-year RO filter.
The same report said Xiaomi is also advertising Zero Stagnant Water 3.0, BPA-free output, no scale inhibitor, first-class water-efficiency certification and a 68.1 percent water production rate, with the publication quoting the product page’s “双芯精滤水路系统” and “7年长效RO滤芯” language.

The launch updates Xiaomi’s earlier Mijia 1600G purifier, which IT Home reported in 2022 at 3,999 yuan with a six-year RO filter, 4.25 L/min output and a 2.1-second fill time for a 150 mL glass.
The new model lowers the headline price and extends the RO life by a year, leaving Xiaomi with a cheaper, longer-lasting version of the same high-flow product family.
For buyers, the immediate takeaway is that Xiaomi is trading on a simple formula, 1600G flow, a seven-year RO replacement cycle and a price point below the original 1600G launch.
