Honor Debuts Pad X9 Max With 13-Inch 120Hz Screen and 10,100mAh Battery
Honor expanded its tablet lineup today with the official release of the Honor Pad X9 Max, pairing a 13-inch display with a 10,100 mAh battery and multi-speaker audio.
The new model introduces a 13-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2500 x 1560 resolution and an 88% screen-to-body ratio. The screen supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz depending on active applications.
Peak brightness reaches 700 nits, and the panel displays up to 1.07 billion colors.
Honor built an eye protection system into the hardware and software. TÜV Rheinland awarded the display certifications for low blue light emissions, flicker-free operation, and paper-like viewing.
DC dimming and dynamic dimming operate continuously to adjust screen brightness levels.

The unit measures 297.62 millimeters long, 192.72 millimeters wide, and 6.75 millimeters thin, weighing 618 grams. An IP40 rating provides protection against solid particles larger than 1 millimeter. Honor ships the tablet in a single Space Gray finish.
An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor drives internal operations. The chip combines four Cortex-A73 performance cores running at 2.90 GHz with four Cortex-A53 efficiency cores at 1.90 GHz alongside Adreno graphics.
Memory configurations include 4GB or 6GB of physical RAM. Honor RAM Turbo software technology expands total memory headroom up to 18GB by converting available storage into virtual memory. Onboard storage options span 128GB and 256GB, with external microSD support allowing expansion up to 2TB.
The tablet operates on MagicOS 10, built on Android 16. Software features focus on multitasking, offering PC-style window management and a desktop file interface.
The company highlights the software layout:

A 10,100 mAh battery powers the tablet and supports 45W SuperCharge wired fast charging. Honor rate tests show the battery providing up to 16 hours of continuous local video playback or 13 hours of continuous reading.
Audio hardware includes a multi-speaker stereo setup certified for IMAX Enhanced media consumption. Honor Spatial Audio algorithms process surround sound output across media formats.
Camera hardware consists of a single 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an f/2.2 aperture. A matching 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera with an f/2.2 lens sits on the front bezel for video calls. Both camera modules support 1080p video recording.
Wireless connections cover dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 with support for high-resolution audio codecs including LDAC, aptX HD, and LHDC 5.0. The device lacks cellular 5G capabilities, operating solely over 4G and Wi-Fi networks. Optional accessories include a Smart Bluetooth Keyboard and the Honor Magic-Pen stylus.
In the UK market, Honor listed the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant at £349.99. The 6GB RAM and 256GB storage model carries a retail price of £449.99. Regional pricing and global rollout dates for other markets remain unannounced.
