Redmi Teases Flagship K100 Series Display Ahead of ChinaJoy 2026

Redmi released its first official promotional teaser for its next flagship smartphone lineup on Chinese social media on July 28.

The promotional image confirms that the company will display what it calls an "annual heavyweight product" at the ChinaJoy 2026 digital entertainment expo in Shanghai.

The event runs from July 31 to August 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

Attendees can view the new device inside Qualcomm Snapdragon's N5-02 exhibition booth.

While the official post did not explicitly spell out the name "Redmi K100," the accompanying poster features a slogan translated from Chinese:

"Demon King Arrives"

Redmi has consistently used the "Demon King" moniker for its top-tier K-series flagship smartphones in previous release cycles. Regulatory filings in China further align with the teaser schedule.

A Xiaomi device registered under model number M511CD recently passed 3C certification, confirming its 100W wired fast-charging capability.

Industry reports indicate the series will feature three models: the standard Redmi K100, the Redmi K100 Pro, and the Redmi K100 Pro Max. The initial showcase will prioritize the Pro and Pro Max editions, with the base model following later in the year.

Leaked specifications suggest the lineup will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

Select models appear to incorporate a dual-chip arrangement, pairing the primary processor with a dedicated display chip to manage graphic rendering and gaming frame rates.

Front-panel details point to a 6.8-inch flat OLED screen with a 185Hz refresh rate and 1200 x 2608 resolution. The display features thin bezels, rounded corners, and an integrated 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner placed under the glass.

Camera configurations focus on a 200-megapixel main rear sensor. Reports detail a secondary 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with optical zoom and telephoto macro functions, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor.

Battery size remains a focal point in technical leaks. Test units feature silicon-carbon battery packs ranging from 8,500mAh to 10,000mAh.

Charging support includes 100W wired connections and up to 50W wireless charging.

Durability ratings include combined IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance certifications. Hardware additions cover symmetrical stereo speakers, a customized X-axis haptic motor, and HyperOS 3 software built on Android 16.

Following the ChinaJoy exhibition, Redmi plans an official product launch in August 2026.
