Twitter Rolls Out 'Promoted Trend Spotlight' A New Ad Unit Under Explore Tab
Twitter is looking forward to increasing its revenue and give advertisers a richer experience by enabling them to promote their products directly to the explore page (search tab) in the official app.

This new ad unit was exclusively available to a few advertisers and now Twitter is enabling all its advertisers in the US, the UK, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand too.

By launching "Promoted Trend Spotlight" a new ad unit, Twitter is looking forward to taking over the Explore tab and let the users see more ads while WhatsApp is also up to show Status Ads very soon.

As the Explore tab of Twitter is the most visited section, people use it to find more relative and trending topics, with Promoted Trend Spotlight, Twitter will be able to earn that money which was being wasted on the table.

Advertisers can use this "Promoted Trend Spotlight" ad unit inside Twitter to showcase static images, videos, and GIFs. Videos should be under 6 seconds and the ad will be displayed at full size in mobile devices and as well at the desktop website.

Twitter probably utilized the latest term Dwell Time to make this ad-unit generate more leads for advertisers and more money for the Twitter company.

So, if you are an advertiser on Twitter, ask your Twitter Client Partner to promote your products on this new ad unit.
