Opera launched Opera Air, The World’s First “Mindful Browser”

Opera has introduced Opera Air, a new web browser designed to enhance user well-being through integrated mindfulness features.
This initiative responds to findings that a significant number of users feel overwhelmed during web browsing and desire tools to improve their daily well-being.
Key features of Opera Air include:
- Mindful Breaks: Guided exercises such as breathing sessions, neck stretches, and meditations, ranging from 3 to 15 minutes, to help users de-stress and maintain focus.
- Boosts: A feature utilizing binaural beats—auditory techniques that play slightly different frequencies in each ear—to promote relaxation and concentration. Users can customize ambient sounds and background music to suit their preferences.
The browser also offers a minimalist Scandinavian design with a frosted glass user interface, aiming to create a serene and distraction-free environment.
Additional features include a built-in ad blocker, free VPN, and access to the ChatGPT-powered Aria AI assistant.
Opera Air is available for free download on Mac and Windows platforms, joining Opera’s existing browser lineup, which includes the default Opera browser and the gaming-focused Opera GX.
This development reflects a growing trend among tech companies to incorporate mental health features directly into their products, acknowledging the impact of prolonged screen time on users’ well-being.
