Replit secures $250M funding to fuel AI push and launches its most autonomous agent yet

Replit just closed a massive $250 million funding round that now puts the company’s valuation at $3 billion, nearly triple what it was worth in 2023.
The round, led by Prysm Capital with backing from Amex Ventures and Google’s AI Futures Fund, comes as the platform reports annualized revenue skyrocketing from $2.8 million to $150 million in less than a year. That leap was driven by its growing global community of more than 40 million users.
Alongside the raise, Replit unveiled Agent 3, described as its most autonomous AI agent to date. Unlike earlier versions that could only run for minutes, Agent 3 can operate for up to 200 minutes, test and repair its own code, and even build custom workflows. Replit says the new agent is ten times more autonomous than its predecessor, with the potential to take on tasks that feel closer to human-level problem solving.
The company’s reach is already visible across industries, with teams at Zillow, Duolingo, and Coinbase using Replit to build apps. Its new product also expands through Google Cloud Marketplace, marking another step toward wider enterprise adoption.
Jonathan Silber, director of the AI Futures Fund at Google, said the collaboration will explore ways to build agents powered by Gemini for enterprise use.
Amjad Masad, CEO and founder of Replit, framed the new funding and product as part of a bigger shift in software creation:
“We were the first to make vibe-coding a reality for individuals with no prior coding experience across the world,” said Masad. “With the raise and our new AI Agent, we are positioned to supercharge customer traction to become the standard for enterprises.”
Investors see the potential, too. Jay Park, managing partner at Prysm Capital, called Replit’s traction with individuals, teams, and enterprises a sign that it’s becoming the leading platform for custom software and workflow automation.
Amex Ventures added that its technology could transform how even non-technical employees bring ideas to life.
The new funds will go toward scaling operations, accelerating product development, and expanding globally. For Replit, the announcement signals not just strong investor confidence but also the start of a new phase where AI agents move from assistants to true collaborators.
