The company unveiled the concept device at an event in October, showcasing a smartphone equipped with a robotic arm and a gimbal-mounted camera that extends from the rear module to track subjects during video recording.
The gimbal provides stabilization and allows the camera to rotate automatically for real-time interaction, folding back into the camera island when idle.

The device incorporates AI capabilities to sense user emotions and adapt accordingly, functioning as a companion that evolves on its own.
It reacts to words or actions, such as playing peek-a-boo with a baby, and follows users with its camera movements.
Honor first presented the Robot Phone through an AI-generated video on YouTube, depicting the gadget responding to scenes like a starry sky or fireworks.

The phone features a flat frame with rounded corners, a hole-punch front camera, and a glass section below the rear camera setup.
It appears in black, white, and gold options, with choices for leather or glass backs.
Honor plans to reveal the device globally at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2026, with a commercial release expected shortly afterward.
"the Honor Robot Phone will enter mass production in the first half of next year," tipster Smart Pikachu wrote on Weibo.

Honor CEO Li Jian stated at the World Internet Conference that the company will introduce the phone to consumers next year.
