OnePlus announced its new Turbo smartphone series through a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo by company president Li Jie Louis.

The lineup targets users seeking strong performance and extended battery life in mid-range devices.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) reported that the upcoming OnePlus Turbo will be the first in the Oppo-OnePlus ecosystem with a massive, dual-cell 9,000mAh-class battery, signaling a trend towards ultra-large batteries in performance phones, potentially launching in early 2026 with a Snapdragon 8-series chip and 165Hz screen.

He added that the devices will deliver "exceptionally long battery life" and gaming capabilities when compared to competitors in the same class.

Battery capacity stands out as a core feature of the Turbo series, with the company confirming it will exceed the 8,300mAh unit in its Ace 6T model and the 7,300mAh battery in the flagship OnePlus 15.

Sources indicate the Turbo phones will incorporate batteries around 9,000mAh, marking a first for OnePlus in a dual-cell configuration to support faster charging and better heat control.

The devices are expected to feature large displays with refresh rates up to 165Hz and resolutions near 1.5K, paired with processors from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 series.

One model may include an overclocked Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The Turbo series positions itself below OnePlus's premium flagships but above standard models, competing against brands like Redmi and iQOO in the performance category.

Global availability remains unconfirmed at this stage.
