Poco M8 5G India Launch Confirmed for January 8: Slimmest Design, 50MP Camera Details Emerge

Poco has scheduled the launch of its M8 5G smartphone in India for January 8 at 12 p.m. Indian Standard Time. The device will go on sale through Flipkart.

The phone measures 7.35 millimeters in thickness and weighs 178 grams. It includes a dual-tone rear panel with a squircle-shaped camera island containing a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Poco India posted on X:

"Slim by design. Sharp by attitude. 7.35mm thin. Built to stand apart."

The company added in a separate post:

"Power in your palm. Focus in every frame. POCO M8 5G doesn’t show up to compete; it shows up to finish. Designed to Slay."

The M8 5G features a 6.77-inch full high-definition plus (HD+) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.

Storage options reach up to 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal space.

The battery holds 5,520 mAh and supports 45-watt fast charging.

The device has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Color variants include black, light blue and black-silver dual-tone.

The M8 5G serves as a rebranded Redmi Note 15, set for release on January 6.
