The device will come equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 system-on-chip, marking it as one of the early adopters of the processor in the Chinese market.

Realme has not commented on the timeline or specifications.

The Neo 8 will feature a flat Samsung AMOLED screen supporting 1.5K resolution, along with a metal frame and glass back for a premium build.

It will include full water resistance, possibly rated IP68 or IP69, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in the display.

The phone will pack an 8,000mAh single-cell battery, which represents an increase from the 7,000mAh unit in the prior Neo 7 model.

"The leak claims the phone will house a massive 8,000mAh single-cell battery."

The device will run Android 16 with Realme's UI 7 software overlay.

It positions the Neo 8 as a competitor to devices like the OnePlus Ace 6T, which also uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

Other manufacturers, including Vivo with its S50 Pro Mini, Motorola with the X70 Ultra, and iQOO with the Z11 Turbo, have launched or plan to launch models with the same chipset.

"Consequently, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered Neo 8 is projected to arrive slightly later, likely making its debut in January 2026."
