Samsung Unveils World's First 6K 3D Gaming Monitor in New Odyssey Lineup Before CES 2026

Samsung Electronics revealed five new Odyssey gaming monitors on Tuesday, led by a 32-inch model that combines 6K resolution with glasses-free 3D technology.

The Odyssey 3D, model G90XH, uses real-time eye tracking to adjust depth and perspective based on the viewer's position and creates a 3D effect without glasses or a headset.

It offers a 165Hz refresh rate at 6K resolution of 6144 by 3456 pixels and boosts to 330Hz in dual mode at 3K resolution, along with a 1-millisecond gray-to-gray response time.

The monitor supports optimized 3D effects in games such as The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture and Stellar Blade, developed through partnerships with game studios. It includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 connections.

The lineup also features the 27-inch Odyssey G6, model G60H, which delivers a 1040Hz refresh rate in dual mode at HD resolution and supports Quad HD at 2560 by 1440 pixels with a native 600Hz refresh rate.

This IPS panel monitor incorporates AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility for tear-free performance and HDR10+ Gaming. It connects via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports.

Three Odyssey G8 models round out the announcements. The 32-inch G80HS provides 6K resolution at 165Hz and dual mode up to 330Hz at 3K, using an IPS panel with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility.

The 27-inch G80HF offers 5K resolution of 5120 by 2880 pixels at 180Hz and boosts to 360Hz in dual mode at Quad HD.

The 32-inch G80SH uses a QD-OLED panel for 4K resolution of 3840 by 2160 pixels at 240Hz, with glare-free viewing, 300-nit brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

It supports DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 for up to 80Gbps bandwidth, plus USB-C with 98W power delivery.

All G8 models include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, HDR10+ Gaming, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.

Executive vice president of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, Hun Lee, said in the official announcement:

“With this year’s Odyssey lineup, we’re introducing display experiences that simply weren’t possible even a year ago,” - “From the industry’s first 6K glasses-free 3D monitor to breakthrough 1,040Hz speed, we designed these monitors to meet the ambitions of today’s gamers and deliver a level of immersion that fundamentally changes how content looks and functions on screen.”

The company plans to display the monitors at the CES 2026 event in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9.
