Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ Specs Leak Ahead of Expected February Launch

Samsung has yet to announce the Galaxy S26 series, but a leak published today detailed the full specifications for the standard Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ models, including their use of either the company's in-house Exynos 2600 processor or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip depending on the market.
The information came from tipster Debayan Roy, known as Gadgetsdata, who shared the details on social media platform X.
- Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch M14 AMOLED display with LTPO technology for an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, FHD+ resolution and HDR10+ support.
- Galaxy S26+ upgrades to a 6.7-inch version of the same panel with 2K resolution while maintaining the other display characteristics.
Both phones include Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection and carry an IP68 rating against water and dust.
For the rear cameras, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ each have a triple setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto unit.
The Galaxy S26 houses a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging, while the Galaxy S26+ has a 4,900mAh cell supporting 45W wired charging.
Both models also offer Qi2 wireless charging and USB 3.2 connectivity.

As with previous Samsung flagships, processor allocation follows regional patterns, with the Snapdragon variant headed to markets such as the United States and China, and the Exynos version to other areas.
"Under the hood, he believes that Samsung’s next flagship will be powered by either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5," the tipster stated in the leak.
Separate reports from earlier this month align with the processor split and display sizes but list the telephoto camera as a 10-megapixel sensor instead of 50 megapixels.
Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup at an Unpacked event in San Francisco on Feb. 5, according to supply chain sources familiar with the company's production timeline.
The devices will run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box.
"The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are going to rock the Exynos 2600 in some regions, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in others," one leak from last week noted.
