World's First Robot Rental Platform: China's AgiBot Raises Tens of Millions

Shanghai-based robotics firm AgiBot has secured tens of millions of dollars in seed funding for Qingtian Rent, billed as the world's first robot rental platform, with the investment led by Hillhouse Capital and joined by Fosun among other funds.
The platform, launched on December 23, 2025, enables users to rent robots through a WeChat mini-program for events such as weddings, concerts, trade shows and business meetings.
Rental rates vary by model, with small robots available at a minimum of $25/day rent, the Unitree Go2 Air robot dog available for about $138 per day, the Unitree U2 dancing robot at roughly $690 per day and the AgiBot Yuanzheng A2 humanoid at around $1,380 per day, all including technical support and transportation.
Higher-end packages, such as sports competition setups with two D1 robots, reach up to $14,227 per day.
Qingtian Rent operates in 50 cities across China, with more than 600 service providers and over 1,000 robots onboarded, and the company plans to expand to more than 200 cities in 2026.

AgiBot Chief Executive Officer Li Yiyan said:
"Currently operational in 50 cities, Qingtian Rent has onboarded 600 service providers and over 1,000 robots already."
The platform covers 16 applications this year, focused on entertainment and performance rentals, with expansion into manufacturing and industrial sectors set for 2026.
Qingtian Rent Chairman Jiang Qingsong said:
"The focus this year will be on entertainment and performance-related rentals. Starting next year, the company plans to gradually open up rentals in the manufacturing and industrial sectors as well."
China's robot rental market reached more than $140 million in 2025 and is projected to exceed $1.4 billion in 2026.
