Xiaomi Corp. released the Electric Scooter 6 Lite worldwide on January 21 as the base model in its refreshed Electric Scooter 6 series, equipped with a 216 watt-hour lithium battery providing up to 25 kilometers of range in standard mode at 15 kilometers per hour.

The scooter incorporates a Hall-effect brushless motor rated at 300 watts continuous power with a 500 watt peak output, enabling a top speed of 25 kilometers per hour and the ability to climb inclines up to 15 percent.

It carries a high-strength carbon structural steel frame supporting loads up to 100 kilograms and weighs 18.1 kilograms itself, with dimensions of 1140 by 512 by 1264 millimeters when unfolded and 1140 by 512 by 555 millimeters when folded.

The model includes 25 millimeter dual-spring front suspension with 25 millimeter travel and 10-inch pneumatic tires to manage uneven surfaces such as speed bumps and gravel roads.

Braking consists of a front drum brake paired with a rear electronic anti-lock braking system, supplemented by a 2.5 watt headlight illuminating up to 15 meters ahead and a flashing rear brake light.

Three riding modes allow speeds of 6 kilometers per hour in pedestrian mode, 15 kilometers per hour in standard mode and 25 kilometers per hour in sport mode, with an integrated display showing speed, mode and battery status.

The scooter connects to the Xiaomi Home app for monitoring remaining range, battery level, trip logs, motor locking and energy recovery adjustments.

It holds an IPX4 water resistance rating for the body and IPX6 for the battery pack, suitable for riders aged 16 to 50 and heights from 140 to 200 centimeters.

The battery requires about eight hours to fully charge.

In the Philippines, the scooter became available for purchase at 18,999 Philippine pesos through online retailers Shopee and Lazada on the day of the announcement.

The company has not disclosed pricing for other markets.
