The extension brings the total for the Series A to more than $935 million and the company's overall capital raised to nearly $1 billion, while CNBC reported a valuation of $5 billion.
“Today’s investment is a strong vote of confidence in our mission to deliver humanoid robots that are designed to work alongside humans, not just as tools but as trusted collaborators,” said Jeff Cardenas, co-founder and CEO of Apptronik.
The Austin, Texas, company will direct the proceeds toward increased production of its Apollo humanoid robot and expansion of commercial and pilot deployments.
Apptronik also intends to construct facilities dedicated to robot training and data collection and to advance its human-centered robot designs with a new version scheduled to appear in 2026.
“Apptronik is setting the standard in embodied AI at scale,” said Howard Morgan, chair and general partner of B Capital.
The extension round drew participation from existing investors that include B Capital, Google, Mercedes-Benz and PEAK6 along with new investors that include AT&T Ventures, John Deere and the Qatar Investment Authority.
The company completed the extension at three times the valuation of the initial Series A that raised $415 million in 2025.
Apptronik did not disclose the valuation in its announcement. TechCrunch reported the post-money valuation at about $5.3 billion.
Apptronik operates as a spinout from the Human Centered Robotics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin and maintains nearly 300 employees.
The company has established partnerships with Mercedes-Benz and GXO Logistics and holds a strategic collaboration with Google DeepMind to develop humanoid robots powered by Gemini Robotics technology.
