Vivo Y05 Debuts with Massive Battery and Durable Build
Vivo announced the launch of the Y05 smartphone in Pakistan, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia on February 24, 2026, positioning the device as an entry-level option with a focus on battery life and durability.
The phone incorporates a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery that supports 15W charging and reverse charging at 6W, along with a rated capacity of 6355mAh and lab-tested performance delivering up to 29.8 hours of video playback, 11.2 hours of FPS gaming, 71.6 hours of music playback, 9.2 hours of navigation, and 12.7 days of standby time.
The Y05 measures 167.4 x 77.1 x 8.4 millimeters and weighs 209 grams, featuring a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate in supported scenarios, 260 pixels per inch density, and peak brightness of 1200 nits.
The screen holds TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Powering the device is the Unisoc T7225 octa-core processor built on a 12nm process, with two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, paired with a Mali-G52 MP1 GPU.
The Y05 comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, expandable by another 4GB through software, and storage options of 64GB or 128GB eMMC 5.1, with microSD support up to 2TB.
It runs OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16.
Durability tests conducted by Vivo include 12,000 drops from small heights, operation in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, 200,000 volume button presses, 10,000 USB plug and unplug cycles, and 450,000 power button presses.
The phone achieves an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, passing tests for eight hours of daily rain exposure and 120 seconds of rinsing.
Vivo describes the build as:

The camera system consists of an 8-megapixel rear sensor with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, and support for modes such as photo, night, portrait, video, live photo, time-lapse, pro, panorama, and documents.
The front camera is a 5-megapixel unit with f/2.2 aperture, offering similar modes.
Additional features include an infrared blaster, stereo speakers with 200% volume boost, a flashlight with up to five times brightness and seven-meter range, and AI tools for note rewriting, summarizing, expanding, photo enhancement, and document processing.
Connectivity covers 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and e-compass. The Y05 arrives in Summit Platinum, Haze Blue, and Voyage Black colors.
Vivo sets the price at Rs. 33,999 for the 4GB plus 64GB model and Rs. 37,999 for the 4GB plus 128GB model in Pakistan and in KSA and Malaysia its around $109, with availability across Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Malaysia through authorized channels.
The company provides a one-year warranty for the device, 15-day free replacement, six-month accessory warranty.
