Edifier launches Hecate CP2 clip-on Bluetooth earbuds in China

Edifier has introduced the Hecate CP2, a new pair of clip-on open-ear Bluetooth earbuds under its gaming-focused Hecate sub-brand. The launch targets the Chinese market and positions the CP2 as a lightweight option for gaming, workouts and daily use, with an emphasis on secure fit and extended battery life.
The earbuds feature an 11mm PEN titanium-plated diaphragm driver paired with a low-frequency enhancement algorithm and a coaxial circular acoustic structure.
This setup aims to deliver clear high frequencies, deeper bass and reduced sound leakage while maintaining an open-ear design that leaves the ear canal unobstructed.
A high-sensitivity microphone with AI noise reduction supports clearer calls and in-game voice chat.
Edifier equipped the CP2 with Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity and two distinct modes.
Gaming mode prioritizes low latency for synchronized audio during play, while music mode balances sound across frequencies.

Touch controls handle playback, calls, mode switching and RGB lighting adjustments, with customization available through the companion app. The earbuds weigh 4.8 grams each and use a pivot spherical fit system with skin-friendly materials to adapt to different ear shapes without pressure.
Battery performance reaches 6.5 hours on a single charge, extending to 26 hours with the included case. IPX4 water resistance adds protection for light sweat or outdoor activity. The design includes customizable RGB lighting effects.
Priced at 279 yuan, or roughly $40, the Hecate CP2 is now available for pre-order on JD.com in China. No details have emerged yet on international availability or pricing outside the home market.

The release arrives amid growing interest in clip-on and open-ear audio products that avoid the discomfort of traditional in-ear designs during long sessions.
Hecate, which Edifier operates as a dedicated gaming line since 2018, has previously focused on innovative form factors such as open-wearable models.
The CP2 follows that approach with a clip-on mechanism that secures the buds without entering the ear, potentially appealing to users who want awareness of their surroundings while listening.
