Honor X80i Launches in China With 1.5K OLED Display, Dimensity 6500 Elite and 7000mAh Battery

Honor has launched the X80i smartphone in China. The mid-range device emphasizes a bright 6.6-inch OLED panel, extended battery life and a slim metal design, with pre-orders available immediately and full sales set for April 10.
The X80i measures 7.34 millimeters thick and weighs 185 grams. It uses a metal frame and an integrated cold-carving process for a premium feel while earning SGS Gold Label five-star drop resistance certification, allowing it to survive falls from up to 1.8 meters. The phone also carries IP66 dust and water resistance.
On the front, the device features a 6.6-inch Honor Oasis OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and ultra-narrow bezels. It runs at 120Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 6500 nits, with 3840Hz PWM dimming to minimize eye strain during prolonged use.
Inside, the X80i runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6500 Elite chipset. It pairs with a 7000mAh battery that Honor states can maintain strong performance for more than six years.
Charging tops out at 45 watts. The rear camera setup consists of a single 50-megapixel main sensor, while an 8-megapixel camera sits on the front.
Additional hardware includes an upgraded Ice-Sealed cooling system, stereo speakers, Hongyan communication technology that Honor claims improves weak-signal performance by as much as 130%, and a dedicated physical AI button.
The phone comes in four colors: Sand Pink, Lime Green, Moon Shadow White and Obsidian Black.

Honor’s official Weibo post highlighted the new shade, stating:
“#HonorX80i# Newly launched, small flat metal screen, good looking, and more capable! The omni-channel pre-sale has been launched. The price after the Chinese subsidy starts from 1699.15 yuan. It will launch officially on April 10. Welcome to buy.”
Pricing in China starts at 1999 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version, rising to 2199 yuan for 8GB/256GB, 2499 yuan for 12GB/256GB and 2799 yuan for 12GB/512GB.
Government subsidies lower the effective entry price to 1699.15 yuan. Pre-sales are open across JD, Tmall, TikTok and Honor Mall.
No details have emerged yet on international availability or pricing outside China. The X80i positions itself as a battery-focused option in Honor’s X-series lineup, building on last year’s X70i with noticeable gains in display brightness and endurance.
