Redmi K90 Max design revealed in Space Silver color ahead of launch
Redmi has officially unveiled the rear design of its upcoming K90 Max smartphone in the new Space Silver color option.
The images, shared on the company's Weibo account on April 8, show a flat aluminum alloy frame paired with a clean metallic silver finish that the company describes as reflecting a futuristic aesthetic.

The handset features a flat rear panel dominated by a large rectangular camera island.
On the left side of the island sits a dual-camera setup, while the right section houses a visible grille for the built-in active cooling fan.
A wider air outlet runs horizontally below the entire camera module.
The design maintains a thin profile with ultra-narrow bezels on the front, though the display itself remains hidden in the official renders.
Xiaomi Redmi positioned the K90 Max as a dedicated gaming device within the existing K90 lineup, which already includes the standard K90 and the higher-end K90 Pro Max models that launched in October 2025.
Redmi emphasized the advanced cooling system in the official materials.
The built-in fan is larger than those found in rival gaming phones, with forward-tilted blades and an upright intake that the company says boosts airflow efficiency.
It claims the system can lower internal temperatures by as much as 10 degrees Celsius within 100 seconds while keeping noise levels at a maximum of 32 decibels at full speed.
The fan assembly sits isolated from the motherboard to preserve dust and water resistance.
Despite the active cooling components, the K90 Max carries full IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.
Redmi further stated that the metal bearing system in the fan carries a six-year warranty and that the cooling unit will receive lifetime cleaning and maintenance support.
The Space Silver variant joins earlier teasers that confirmed a 165Hz OLED display and positioned the device as a performance-oriented model between the base K90 and the flagship K90 Pro Max.

Industry reports have consistently pointed to a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, an 8000mAh-class battery with 100W wired charging support, and symmetrical dual speakers, though these details have not yet received fresh official confirmation alongside the design reveal.
Redmi will launch the K90 Max in China later this month alongside the Redmi K Pad 2 tablet.
The tablet shares the same Dimensity 9500 processor and features an 8.8-inch 165Hz display in a unibody metal design available in gold, black, and electric purple finishes. Both devices are already open for reservations on Xiaomi's official online store in China.
The K90 Max design arrives as Redmi continues to expand its gaming-focused offerings within the K series, targeting users who prioritize sustained performance during extended play sessions without sacrificing the phone's overall build quality or durability.
