Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 15 SE 5G in India (Specs and Price)

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G in India, positioning the device as a special edition variant of the Redmi Note 15 5G series that debuted earlier this year.

The phone arrives with a larger battery, a premium design in select color options, and the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset as the standard model, while introducing a few targeted changes to the camera setup.

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G features a 6.77-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and 12-bit color depth.

It measures approximately 164 by 75.42 millimeters and ranges from 7.35 millimeters thick in the Carbon Black variant to 7.82 millimeters in the Crimson Reserve edition, with weights between 178 grams and 182 grams.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 4-nanometer octa-core processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage options of 128GB or 256GB, expandable via microSD card up to 1TB.

It runs Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 on top and includes stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an infrared blaster.

Durability ratings cover IP65 and IP66 dust and splash resistance along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.

On the rear, Xiaomi has opted for a 50-megapixel primary camera using a 1/2.88-inch Light Fusion 400 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, joined by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Video recording tops out at 4K at 30 frames per second. The front camera is a 20-megapixel unit capable of 1080p video.

The battery measures 5,800mAh and supports 45W wired fast charging, an increase over the 5,520mAh cell in the standard Redmi Note 15 5G.

Design stands out as a key differentiator. The phone comes in three finishes: Frosted White with a subtle marble texture, Carbon Black, and Crimson Reserve, the last featuring a vegan leather back paired with a gold-colored mid-frame.

The camera module sits in a squircle-shaped island that matches the color scheme of the red and gold variant.

Pricing starts at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model.

The 8GB RAM and 128GB version costs Rs 21,999, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant is priced at Rs 22,999. Sales begin April 7 through Flipkart, Xiaomi’s online store, and offline retail outlets.

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G essentially refreshes the existing Note 15 5G platform with a bigger silicon-carbon battery and upscale color options focused on India, while dialing back the rear camera configuration from the standard model’s 108MP primary and 8MP ultrawide sensors.

This setup keeps the device competitive in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment where battery life and build quality often sway buyers more than raw camera megapixels.
