Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have welcomed their third child, a son named Nautas Madden, according to an Instagram announcement Madden shared on May 4.
In the caption, he wrote, “Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden,” and added that the family is “having a blast.”
The couple, who married in 2015, are already parents to daughter Raddix and son Cardinal.
The announcement did not include a photo of the baby, matching the pair’s long-running effort to keep their children out of the public eye.
Even though some are saying yes, there's no public confirmation that Cameron Diaz used a surrogate for her third child.
There is no public confirmation that Cameron Diaz used a surrogate to welcome her third child. The only confirmed detail so far is that Benji Madden announced on Instagram that the couple had welcomed a son; he did not mention a surrogate in the post.
Diaz and Madden have kept their children out of the public eye, and the announcement about Nautas followed the same pattern they used for their earlier family updates.
Public reporting from earlier years says the couple privately welcomed their first two children through surrogate, but that does not confirm anything about the third child.
So far, the answer is simple: the couple has confirmed the birth of baby No. 3, but not the method of birth.
Diaz and Madden did not share any further details about the birth, including when it happened or where.
The announcement keeps the family’s usual privacy intact and adds another child to a household that has largely stayed off social media and away from the spotlight.
