DJI launches Romo 2 robot vacuum series with 36,000Pa suction and AI cleaning in China

DJI has pushed its Romo robot vacuum line into a second generation, with Chinese store pages now listing Romo P2 and Romo A2 models and the company’s official teaser on Weibo saying:
“DJI ROMO 2代,五月登场,敬请期待.”
DJI’s global site is also surfacing ROMO under the label “Make a Clean Sweep,” which puts the vacuum line alongside the company’s drones, cameras and gimbals on the front page of its product ecosystem.
The new lineup leans on the same drone-derived sensing pitch DJI used for the first Romo, only with more aggressive cleaning hardware.

DJI’s own store copy says the P2 and A2 bring “AI 智能全场景应对,轻松处理各类脏污,” a radar-adaptive swing arm that can move 123 degrees, and a high-temperature self-cleaning base station.
The company also says the robots can handle 36,000Pa suction, cross 4cm single thresholds and 8.5cm double thresholds, and extend edge coverage by 4.5cm near walls.

Pricing in the Chinese store starts at ¥5,999 for the Romo P2 water-tank version and ¥5,499 for the Romo A2 water-tank version.
DJI also lists ultra-thin automatic water supply and drainage base-station versions at ¥6,499 for the P2 and ¥5,999 for the A2, which gives the lineup a premium price band that sits above many mass-market robot vacuums but tracks with DJI’s positioning of ROMO as a flagship home robot.
The launch keeps DJI moving deeper into consumer robotics at a moment when robot vacuums are being sold less on suction numbers alone and more on obstacle avoidance, autonomy and dock maintenance.
DJI’s official store copy describes ROMO as being built on “cutting-edge perception and electromechanical technology inspired by flagship drones,” and the company’s product pages continue to emphasize sensing, navigation and self-cleaning over raw mopping gimmicks.
The current rollout, at least for now, is centered on China, with DJI’s visible launch materials and product pages focused on that market.
