Suncraft free Steam demo goes live ahead of its July release

Spicy Tuna Games has released a free Steam demo for Suncraft, its cozy pixel-art adventure about restoring a village and rebuilding its lighthouse.
The demo page lists an April 30, 2026 release date, and the main Steam listing says the full game is still unreleased with a planned launch in July 2026.
The studio announced the demo on Steam Community with the line, “The time has come to open the doors to the village.”
In the same post, it said:
“We are officially inviting everyone to participate in the Suncraft Playtest,” framing the demo as both a public preview and a feedback pass for the team.
On Steam, Suncraft is described as “Another sun-filled day begins in this cozy pixel-art adventure.”
The listing says players gather resources, craft items and upgrade tools while working to bring the village back to its golden days and rebuild the grand Lighthouse.
The game is tagged as adventure, casual and simulation.
The free demo arrives after an earlier playtest phase the developer opened to everyone in March, when Spicy Tuna Games said it wanted broad feedback on the gameplay loop, technical stability and world balance.
The Steam page still says the full game is not yet available, which makes the demo the clearest public look at the project before launch.
Suncraft is stepping into that familiar spot ahead of its release, especially in the world of indie cozy games.
Launching a demo not only helps to generate excitement but also allows the developers to test out the game’s mechanics, pacing, and overall balance before the full version is released later this year.
It's a strategic move that many indie creators use to engage with players and fine-tune their game.
