Xiaomi Launches HyperOS 3.3 Update Based on Android 17 for Flagship Phones
Xiaomi started rolling out the HyperOS 3.3 update based on Android 17 today for several of its top-tier smartphones.

The update moves past the closed testing phase into a public release for global and European users.
The rollout affects the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra directly as a general public package.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro global variant receives the software through the Mi Pilot testing channel, which limits initial access to a small group of users before a wider release begins.
According to the official changelog tech platform Ximitime shared, the software does not include major visual redesigns or new consumer-facing features.
The documentation states that the update:
"mainly focuses on improving system stability and adds the June 2026 security patch."
The new build functions as an underlying architectural preparation for the upcoming HyperOS 4 platform, which arrives later this year.
Because the package installs an entirely new Android version, file sizes span from 7.5 gigabytes to 9.5 gigabytes.
An early user on the online forum Reddit shared their experience after installing the package on a Xiaomi 17 Ultra device.
The user stated:
"Just recieved the update to Android 17. It does not have any noticeable new features. But the system has definitely been polished. Animations are smoother and more natural. Apps open much quicker, almost instantly. Scrolling is smoother and faster. Media loads much better and faster. Haptics are more refined and feel more in sync with the system."
The global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra receives build number OS3.0.332.0.XPAMIXM, which requires a 9.5-gigabyte download.
The European version of the same device shares the same file size and runs under the build identifier OS3.0.332.0.XPAEUXM.
For the standard Xiaomi 17 model, the global update carries build number OS3.0.332.0.XPCMIXM.
The European version uses build number OS3.0.331.0.XPCEUXM. Both regional updates for the standard model require 7.5 gigabytes of free storage space.
Users of the Xiaomi 15T Pro who participate in the Mi Pilot channel can download build OS3.0.331.0.XOSMIXM.
This package also measures 7.5 gigabytes and upgrades the phone to the Android 17 base framework.
Xiaomi deploys its system updates in staggered phases to ensure device safety and monitor unexpected bugs.
Device owners can check for the update by opening the settings application, selecting the about phone menu, and tapping the operating system logo.
