OnePlus Launches Budget N6x Smartphone in India
NEW DELHI — OnePlus launched its entry-level smartphone, the OnePlus N6x, in India on July 31. The device enters the budget mobile segment with a focus on battery endurance and hardware durability.
OnePlus set the starting price at Rs 18,999 ($228) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage base model. A second model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 20,999 ($240).

Open sales begin on August 4 at 12:00 PM IST. Buyers can access the device through Amazon India, the official OnePlus website, the OnePlus Store app, and physical retail stores.
Launch promotional deals include an instant bank discount of up to Rs 1,500 on select credit cards and EMI transactions. OnePlus also offers up to six months of no-cost EMI options for early purchasers.
Hardware and Thermal Specifications
The MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset powers the device. The 6nm octa-core processor includes two Cortex-A76 performance cores running at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
OnePlus integrated a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system inside the chassis. This cooling unit dissipates heat away from internal components during extended gaming sessions or continuous heavy application usage.
Internal testing records show an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 608,900 for the 128GB storage model. The phone operates on OxygenOS 16, which runs on top of Android 16. OnePlus certified the 128GB edition with a 48-Month Smooth Experience rating to maintain software responsiveness across four years of standard use.
Battery Technology and Power Management
The 7,000mAh battery provides up to 2.5 days of power on a single charge under standard daily usage. Official test laboratory data shows the battery delivers up to 20.56 hours of continuous video streaming, 25.04 hours of social media browsing, 133.56 hours of music playback, and 54.36 hours of voice calls.
OnePlus rated the battery cell for 1,600 charging cycles. The manufacturer claims the battery retains over 80 percent of its original energy capacity after six years of regular charging routines.
Charging speeds cap at 15W over a wired USB Type-C connection. The device supports 5W reverse wired charging to supply power to external accessories, bypass charging to reduce heat during gaming, and an adaptive Night Charging Mode.

The front panel houses a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD screen with a resolution of 1570 by 720 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 900 nits, a 19.6:9 aspect ratio, and built-in eye protection settings.

The camera layout relies on a single 13-megapixel rear sensor featuring autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and 10x digital zoom capabilities. A 5-megapixel front camera handles video calls and selfies. Both front and rear sensors capture video recording up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.
Audio hardware consists of a bottom-ported speaker setup supported by an expanded acoustic chamber capable of reaching up to 300 percent volume output. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner built directly into the power button.
