Clubhouse Launches the Official Android App

As reported in a Clubhouse press release on 9th May, the Clubhouse free Android app will be available to users in the US from May 9th. It will later launch in other English-speaking countries and then to the rest of the world. While for now, all the non-US users can pre-register in the app from its Google PlayStore listing.

The trending audio-only social chatting platform Clubhouse app just released an official app for users of the Android OS. As previously, the new social network famous for audio chats was available only for iOS-powered devices such as iPhone and Macbook.

To your notes: In February 2021 a few unofficial Android versions of Clubhouse were released too but in March, Clubhouse began blocking users of the unofficial app.

“Our plan over the next few weeks is to collect feedback from the community, fix any issues we see and work to add a few final features like payments and club creation before rolling it out more broadly.", explained Paul, Rohan from the social network team members.

The Clubhouse was launched in March 2020, but a significant increase in the number of users on the social network occurred in early 2021 as it was trending as a new social network that is not as same as Facebook or Twitter. By the end of January, the application had 2 million active users per week, by the end of February - over 10 million and still counting.

You can download or pre-register for Clubhouse app from this playstore link.
