Microsoft Tests New Windows 11 Feature "Not So New" for Insiders

Windows 11 is the latest offering of Microsoft that is in the news for more and more new features. However, this time, the so-called new feature for Windows 11 preview build for Insiders doesn’t not look so new.

Microsoft has rolled out the new feature in the Release Preview channel with 22000.706 build number and there are two new features mentioned as:

  1. Windows Spotlight wallpaper switcher
  2. Family Safety integration

With touching many dark spots and fixing some known issues, the two new features are the key highlights in this update.

The most-awaited feature called the Windows Spotlight is here and its just a wallpaper switcher that is same like Bing’s wallpaper switcher feature that shows a new wallpaper every time you refresh the website.

Windows Spotlight does the same by showing a new wallpaper to you as your desktop background wallpaper every time you boot your PC in the morning.

The best thing about this feature is you can choose the wallpapers that should go as your background wallpaper on your laptop or desktop computer.

However, the 2nd feature looks impressing as the family safety and security is the number one priority for every computer user and specially who use a laptop for their work.

This adds extra layers to a better verification system for your kids when they try to access any restricted feature.

So, there are two things, an improved family safety feature and a useless wallpaper changing feature.
