Apple losing its position as the top selling phone brand, IDC's first quarterly report shows interesting figures

Apple has always done its best to manufacture the best products, but it seems as if Android companies are making better use of AI now while manufacturing their new models. That can be a great reason for Apple's decline as the top seller in the market as the IDC tracker's first quarter report shows.

Ryan Reith, group vice president with IDC's Worldwide Mobility and Consumer Device Trackers, said that:

"While Apple managed to capture the top spot at the end of 2023, Samsung successfully reasserted itself as the leading smartphone provider in the first quarter. While IDC expects these two companies to maintain their hold on the high end of the market, the resurgence of Huawei in China, as well as notable gains from Xiaomi, Transsion, OPPO/OnePlus, and vivo will likely have both OEMs looking for areas to expand and diversify. As the recovery progresses, we're likely to see the top companies gain share as the smaller brands struggle for positioning."

In Short:

  1. IDC tracker's first quarter report is released, showing amazing and interesting figures.
  2. Samsung has become the topper phone-selling company of the first quarter of 2024.
  3. Apple lost its position as the best phone-selling company with a decrease of 10% in its year-over-year changes in shipments. The other Chinese companies ranked their levels higher.

So, this is how the phone market is facing changes, and these changes are mostly because of AI usage, reliable features of the products, camera quality and memory of the device, and price of the products is a major fact for changes in sales of different companies. We wish luck to all the brands.
