Romanian Startup Meetgeek Secures EUR 1.6 Million

Romanian startup Meetgeek just closed a EUR 1.6 million funding round led by Early Game Ventures with Inspire Capital also joining in, giving the young company fresh capital to expand its AI-powered workplace assistant.
The raise comes on the heels of fast growth, with Meetgeek reporting that it tripled revenues over the past year and now generates more than USD 2 million in annual recurring revenue.
The platform, which began as a meeting assistant, has quickly spread across more than 4,000 companies in over 100 countries.
Unlike traditional note-taking software, Meetgeek is betting on AI agents that don’t just sit quietly in the background but actively jump into conversations, automate follow-ups, and link insights straight into business systems.
“In the last year we launched AI chat inside online meetings, a Chrome recording tool, and voice AI agents that automate follow-ups,” said Dan Huru, CEO of Meetgeek. “Now we are introducing Chat with Tools, which lets users orchestrate workflows directly from natural conversations - instantly syncing meeting insights with CRM systems and project management apps.”
The team behind Meetgeek, three former colleagues from a multinational corporation, sees the bigger opportunity in turning business discussions into structured data that fuel automation and asynchronous collaboration. Investors are buying into that vision.
Early Game Ventures partner Dan Călugăreanu said the firm is backing founders “who anticipate tomorrow’s problems and deliver solutions at record speed.”
The funding arrives as European tech continues to attract resilience-focused money.
Early Game Ventures II, which led the round, is itself supported by the Recovery Equity Fund managed by the European Investment Fund and financed through the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility.
