Alec’s Ice Cream Scoops Up $11 Million to Make Regenerative Dairy Mainstream

Alec’s Ice Cream just secured an $11 million Series A round led by Imaginary Ventures, marking a major step for the world’s first A2 regenerative organic ice cream brand. The raise was oversubscribed, drawing support from Great Circle Ventures, Altelan Capital, DAYBREAKER, Dr. Anthony Guston, and Monique Volz of Ambitious Kitchen.

The fresh funding will help Alec’s expand its team, boost innovation, and build regenerative supply chains that support farmers and a more sustainable food system. The announcement comes after the brand’s sellout launch of Culture Cup, a new line of pre- and probiotic single-serve cups that quickly went viral and are now stocked nationwide at Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, and Target.

Backed by popular pints like Peanut Butter Fudge Honeycomb and Palm Springs Banana Chocolate Date Shake, Alec’s Ice Cream has become one of the fastest-growing names in the freezer aisle this year. The company’s products now sit in 3,000 retail stores and sales are set to double compared to last year—a strong signal that healthier indulgence is hitting a sweet spot with consumers.

“Alec’s Ice Cream removes the trade-off between indulgence and health, delivering both flavor and function,” said Logan Langberg, Partner at Imaginary Ventures and new board member at Alec’s Ice Cream. “By combining culinary creativity with nutritional integrity, the brand is winning over consumers and experiencing exceptional growth.”

Founded in 2020 by Alec Jaffe, the company uses A2 dairy—the original milk protein that’s easier to digest—and partners with regenerative farmers to help reverse climate change. As food companies race to prove their sustainability credentials, Alec’s Ice Cream is quietly redefining what “better-for-you” can look like in the frozen aisle.

The company says the new capital will fuel national expansion and new product development as it continues to merge flavor, function, and sustainability into every pint.
