Safeway Logistics to Permanently Lay Off 72 Employees at Kinston Amazon Facility

Safeway Logistics LLC has filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice indicating that 72 employees will be permanently laid off at its facility located at 1302 Enterprise Blvd., Kinston, North Carolina.
The layoffs are scheduled to begin on November 18, 2025, with all separations expected to be completed by November 22, 2025.
Of the total affected, four front-office management employees and 68 drivers will lose their positions.
The WARN notice states that no bumping rights will be provided, meaning the affected employees cannot displace other workers in order to retain employment.
