The device succeeds the RedMagic 10 Air and marks the latest addition to the RedMagic 11 series after the recent debut of the RedMagic 11 Pro and Pro Plus models in China.
Chao acknowledged the phone's development in response to a tipster's post and described the RedMagic 11 Air as "indeed very powerful," with further details set to emerge in the weeks ahead.
The smartphone is scheduled to arrive in China in January 2026, according to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station and echoed by Chao.
The RedMagic 11 Air carries the model number NX799J and has appeared on China's TENAA certification database, listing a 6.85-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1,216 by 2,688 pixels.
It includes a 16-megapixel front camera positioned under the display and a rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens.
The phone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and features an active cooling fan to manage heat during extended gaming sessions.
It offers RAM configurations up to 24 gigabytes and storage options up to one terabyte, with base models starting at 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage.
The device measures 163.82 millimeters by 76.54 millimeters by 7.85 millimeters and weighs 207 grams.
It houses a 6,780 milliampere-hour battery, which Nubia markets as a 7,000 milliampere-hour unit, and operates on Android 16 with the company's Red Magic OS 11 interface.
