Valve has stopped production of the 256GB Steam Deck model equipped with an LCD screen.
The device, which carried a $399 price tag, will become unavailable after existing inventory sells out, leaving the OLED variants as the only options for new purchases.
The company posted a notice on its Steam Deck store page to announce the change.
"We are no longer producing the Steam Deck LCD 256GB model," the notice reads. "Once sold out, it will no longer be available."
The LCD model sold out in the United States shortly after the announcement appeared, and similar stock depletion occurred in other regions such as the United Kingdom.
Valve had previously ended production of the 64GB and 512GB LCD versions following the launch of OLED models in late 2023.

During Black Friday promotions in 2025, Valve reduced the price of the 256GB LCD model by 20 percent to $319.20 in the United States.
Valve confirmed it would maintain software support for all existing LCD units.
Buyers now face a starting price of $549 for the 512GB Steam Deck OLED, or $649 for the 1TB version. Valve did not provide a specific reason for halting LCD production.
