Galaxy S27 Ultra Tipped for Major Camera Upgrades by Leaker

A prominent leaker has disclosed early details indicating Samsung will replace the main camera, ultra-wide-angle camera and front camera on the Galaxy S27 Ultra set for release in 2027.

The telephoto camera will remain unchanged.

The periscope zoom camera will receive a wider aperture.

Ice Universe posted the information on X:

"Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra early news. Main camera, replace Ultra wide-angle camera, replace. Front camera, replace. Telephoto camera, unchanged," Ice Universe wrote.

The leaker added in a reply, "I'm disappointed that Samsung didn't change the telephoto camera."

The Galaxy S26 series is scheduled to debut next month. Samsung has used the same camera sensors since the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung had considered a 1/1.1-inch 200-megapixel primary camera for the Galaxy S27 Ultra but canceled the plan due to cost concerns.

Samsung will instead use a 1/1.3-inch-class 200MP sensor similar to the ISOCELL HP2.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra will compete with camera-focused flagships from OPPO and Vivo.
