OnePlus Expands OxygenOS 16 Rollout to Nord CE 4, CE 4 Lite 5G and Pad with Android 16 Features
OnePlus initiated the stable rollout of OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, to the OnePlus Nord CE 4, OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G and OnePlus Pad in India on January 7, 2026.

The company deployed the software in phases, starting with a limited number of users in India before expanding to other regions within days.
Users received notifications to download the multi-gigabyte package through the settings menu under system updates.
The company recommended at least 5GB of free storage and 40% battery charge for installation.
OnePlus staff posted the update details on the company's community forum, where the changelog shared that the:
"Trinity Engine optimizes workload and resources on the fly, maintaining smooth performance across videos, gaming, and extended camera use."
The software introduced parallel processing for fluid animations in system apps, text selection and status bar transitions.
It added AI features such as Mind Assistant for content search, AI Portrait Glow for photo enhancement in low light and AI Recorder with smart naming and noise cancellation.

Customization expanded with light field technology for immersive visuals, a new serif font called One Serif and redesigned home screen elements including resizable icons and organized app drawers.
The update incorporated the December 2025 Android security patch and support for Bosnian as a system language.
OnePlus listed the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G as receiving its final major Android upgrade with this release, aligning with the company's commitment to two OS updates and three years of security patches through June 2027.
The company confirmed the rollout completed the OxygenOS 16 distribution for most eligible devices, leaving only the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G and OnePlus Pad Lite pending.
