Samsung's Freestyle+ Projector Can Adjust to Uneven Surfaces Using AI
Samsung unveiled the Freestyle+ on January 1, 2026, a portable projector that uses artificial intelligence to automatically correct image distortion on uneven surfaces such as corners, curtains, or angled walls, ahead of the CES 2026 trade show in Las Vegas.

The device builds on the design of the original Freestyle projector and introduces AI OptiScreen technology that enables users to project content with minimal setup.
The Freestyle+ delivers 430 ISO lumens of brightness, double that of its predecessor, and supports 1080p resolution with a projection size up to 100 inches.
- Its 3D Auto Keystone feature "automatically corrects distortion even when projecting onto uneven or non-flat surfaces, such as corners, curtains or angled walls," according to the company's announcement.
Additional AI capabilities include real-time focus adjustment when the projector moves, automatic screen fit for compatible accessories and wall calibration to minimize visual distractions from the projection surface.
The projector retains a 180-degree rotating cradle for projection onto walls, ceilings or floors and integrates Samsung's Tizen operating system for access to streaming services.
It also functions as a smart speaker with 360-degree audio and supports voice control through Bixby or Amazon Alexa.
Samsung plans to make The Freestyle+ available in the first half of 2026, with pricing details to be announced later.
The device weighs 1.8 pounds and includes an HDMI input for external devices.
"At the core of The Freestyle+ is AI OptiScreen, Samsung’s AI-powered screen optimization technology that automatically adjusts the picture to different spaces — so users can simply point, place and start watching," the company stated in its release.
