The company has raised $74 million in total since it spun out of Carnegie Mellon University in 2017.

Gather AI provides a physical AI platform (curious) that deploys cameras on material handling equipment and autonomous drones to track warehouse inventory and operations. The system reconciles physical activity with digital records in warehouses.

It delivers 99.9 percent inventory accuracy.

Customers report reductions in manual counting of up to 80 percent and productivity gains of five times.

Major users include GEODIS, NFI Industries, Kwik Trip, Axon, dnata, Barrett Distribution and Langham Logistics.

The company doubled its operational footprint and increased bookings by 250 percent in the past year.

Global logistics operators lose billions of dollars each year due to mismatches between warehouse floors and digital systems.

These gaps produce missed shipments, excess inventory, labor inefficiencies and margin pressure.

Gather AI addresses the divide through continuous monitoring that identifies issues before they escalate.

"For too long, supply chains have operated with a fundamental blind spot: they couldn't see what was actually happening on the floor," said Sankalp Arora, CEO and co-founder of Gather AI.

Keith Block, founder and CEO of Smith Point Capital Management and former co-CEO of Salesforce, stated in the announcement: “Gather AI is redefining how the physical world gets measured, understood, and operated.

What Sankalp and his team have built isn’t just a better way to count inventory; it’s a foundational intelligence layer for the modern supply chain. We believe Gather AI will become the system of record for every warehouse, factory, and yard, and we’re thrilled to help accelerate that future.”

The proceeds will fund expansion into hundreds of additional facilities worldwide.

Gather AI will develop predictive tools for inventory management and increase its engineering and customer success teams.

The company operates in sectors that include third-party logistics, retail distribution, manufacturing, food and beverage, and air cargo.
