New Xiaomi 18 Render Reveals an iPhone 16 Pro-like Design
Leaked renders of Xiaomi's next compact flagship have circulated on Chinese social media platforms in recent days showing a rear camera arrangement that aligns closely with the one on Apple's iPhone 16 Pro.
The leaked images depict a square module in the upper left corner of the device housing three lenses and an LED flash along with Leica branding. The module appears larger than the one on the iPhone 16 Pro while maintaining similar corner curvature and overall placement.
Reports from GSMArena published on February 14 detailed the visual parallels. The publication stated:
"The design of the camera island is very close, even though Xiaomi's is bigger. The curvature of the corners seems nigh-on identical."
The Xiaomi 18 represents a departure from the design of its predecessor in the camera housing area. The source noted that the revised layout draws from the camera design Apple used from the iPhone 13 Pro through the iPhone 16 Pro.
The renders surfaced ahead of an expected September launch for the Xiaomi 18 series in China. The lineup includes the standard Xiaomi 18 along with Pro and Pro Max variants.
As we reported earlier, the Tipster Digital Chat Station indicated the base model will measure 6.4 inches on its OLED display. That represents an increase from the 6.3-inch panel on the Xiaomi 17.
Another latest leak by "IT technology hero" on Weibo revealed the full iPhone-lookalike design for Xiaomi 18.

Gizmochina reported on February 13 that the larger chassis could support a battery exceeding the 7,000 milliampere-hour capacity found in the Xiaomi 17. The publication wrote that the Xiaomi 18's battery "could be even bigger than its predecessor" because of the added internal space.
The Xiaomi 18 is expected to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
Separate leaks point to a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera on the device.
The Pro models may receive the higher-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor and dual 200MP sensors.
