Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has confirmed work on a dedicated vlogging camera project aimed at rivaling DJI's Osmo Pocket lineup.
The initiative began as an internal effort in late 2025, with a team of nearly 100 people assigned to the task.
Vivo plans to release the device in 2026, potentially around the same time as DJI's expected Osmo Pocket 4.
The camera will incorporate mechanical gimbal stabilization and touchscreen controls, features borrowed from Vivo's smartphone camera systems.
Vivo confirmed to Jiemian News that it internally initiated a project for a Vlog camera at the end of 2025.
The product remains without an official name and there's no confirmation of any design or color choices.
The move positions Vivo to expand its imaging portfolio beyond smartphones into standalone hardware for content creators.
