Atlassian to Slash 1,600 Jobs to Fund AI and Enterprise Sales Push

Atlassian announced on March 11, 2026, that it will reduce the size of its team by around 10% or about 1,600 employees. Atlassian said it chose to adapt thoughtfully decisively and quickly to drive durable profitable growth. The plan includes restructuring to self fund investment in AI and enterprise sales.

It also covers acceleration toward sustained GAAP profitability and reorganization to build dedicated accountable leadership teams across its Collections portfolio and other revenue generating areas.
