Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Becomes Most-Viewed Ever With 718.6 Million Views in 24 Hours
The first official trailer for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Brand New Day pulled in 718.6 million views across platforms in its opening 24 hours after dropping on March 18, according to data from market research firm WaveMetrix.
Sony Pictures declared the launch the biggest trailer in history.
The trailer, which runs nearly three minutes, arrived Wednesday morning and reached 373 million views within the first eight hours alone.
That total tops the previous film trailer record of 365 million views set by the 2024 Deadpool and Wolverine teaser and the all-time trailer benchmark of 455 million views held by the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer from 2025.
It also eclipses the 355.5 million views earned by the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer in 2021.
The film marks Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, the first solo outing since No Way Home in 2021.
Set four years later, the story follows Peter as an adult living entirely alone after the memory-erasing events of the previous film.
He operates as a full-time Spider-Man in a New York City that no longer knows his name, until mounting demands trigger a physical change that endangers him while a new wave of crimes introduces one of his most formidable threats yet.

The cast includes Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in his first MCU feature role, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Destin Daniel Cretton directs from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Producers are Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain serving as executive producers.
The official trailer opens with the line “A Brand New Day starts now,” echoing the film’s title and tagline. Footage teases Peter’s isolated life, high-stakes crime-fighting sequences, and brief appearances from several supporting characters and potential antagonists.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in theaters on July 31.
The record viewership arrives five years after No Way Home grossed $1.9 billion worldwide and signals strong early interest in the next chapter for the character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
