OnePlus Ace 7 Tipped for Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chipset and Built-in Active Cooling

OnePlus has begun early development on the Ace 7, the successor to the Ace 6 series that launched in China in October 2025 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 165Hz display, IP69K rating, and 7,800mAh battery. Fresh leaks point to upgraded internals focused on performance and thermal management for the next model.
According to Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu, the OnePlus Ace 7 is expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

This platform already appears in devices such as the OnePlus 15 and several other 2026 flagships from Xiaomi and Oppo. The Ace 7 would represent a step up from the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Ace 6.
The tipster also indicated that the Ace 7 could include an active cooling system featuring a built-in fan. This would differ from the external fan solution used on the recently released Ace 6 Ultra.
Such a design aims to support sustained high performance, particularly during extended gaming sessions, where previous Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 devices like the OnePlus 15 have shown thermal throttling under heavy loads.
Additional reports mention the possibility of an ultra-high refresh rate display for the Ace series successor, though specific figures remain unknown at this stage. The Ace 6 already offered a 165Hz panel, and related leaks for other OnePlus models have referenced panels approaching 240Hz.
The Ace 7 is not expected until the fourth quarter of 2026. At that point, newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chips could already power flagship models such as the OnePlus 16, raising questions about positioning within OnePlus's lineup.
Details on battery capacity, camera hardware, RAM and storage options, pricing, and exact launch timing have not surfaced in the current leaks.
OnePlus has not issued any official statements on the Ace 7.
