Tatiana Maslany says a She-Hulk return is possible, but jokes fans may not want her back
Tatiana Maslany is not closing the door on returning as Jennifer Walters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though she is making the case that She-Hulk works best on her own.

Speaking on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast while promoting Apple TV’s Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Maslany said a crossover would need the right hand behind it and pointed to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law creator Jessica Gao as the person most likely to preserve the character’s tone.
“I think it would take somebody like Jessica Gao to weave her into that world because she knows that character so deeply and loves her and gets her tone,” Maslany said.
Maslany framed the character as one built around direct address and self-aware comedy, which makes her different from the usual MCU ensemble player.
She said, “there is something about She-Hulk being the star of her own show that makes sense,” and added that putting the character into another context would be “a real cool challenge.”
Asked whether a second season or a movie appearance felt more likely, she answered:
“I don’t know. I think people would be so mad at me being on their screens again.”
The comment lands at a moment when Marvel has not announced a second season of She-Hulk, even as studio leadership has signaled interest in keeping the character around.

In an interview last month, Marvel Television chief Brad Winderbaum said, “I love ‘She-Hulk.’ I’d love to make more ‘She-Hulk,’” and described it as “one of our best-performing shows” with general audiences.
That leaves the character in a familiar Marvel holding pattern: the studio appears open to more, but there is no public confirmation of a new season or a specific return plan for Maslany.
Maslany’s remarks also underline the tension around She-Hulk’s place inside Marvel’s broader slate.
The 2022 Disney+ series leaned heavily on meta-comedy, direct audience address and legal satire, a format that was built around Jennifer Walters as the lead rather than as a supporting player in a crossover-heavy franchise.

That makes any future appearance harder to slot into a team-up film or ensemble series without changing what made the show distinct in the first place.
