Twitter Is Testing "Fleets" Feature and Users are Not Happy
Social networking and microblogging website Twitter has begun testing Fleets feature that is a similar feature available as Stories on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and WhatsApp apps.

In an official tweet, Twitter said that the new feature has been named 'Fleets', which has been launched for Brazilian users and for now is in the testing phase.

The Fleets feature is actually like the Stories feature, meaning that the user's status or stories will be automatically deleted after 24 hours, and like the tweets, Fleets will not be public while the followers will be able to see it.

Any official from Twitter did not provide further details regarding this new fleets feature. However, fleets will appear at the top of the app, which is quite similar to other major social media apps.

Facebook and even Twitter app users dismissed the company's announcement and ran the hashtag #RIPTwitter which was trending on the same day of announcement on the Twitter official app. Users also demanded that Twitter should keep its platform unique from other social apps and should introduce the Edit Tweet button.
