WhatsApp finally rolls emoji reactions feature for your chat messages so rather than replying, you can now react to WhatsApp messages as similarly, as you react to Facebook posts and Facebook’s Messenger messages.

The not-so-new feature is very fascinating to WhatsApp users as it was becoming a hurdle to heart a message and send a thumbs up and users have been asking for such a feature for a long time now. Finally, Meta (WhatsApp's parent company) decided to release it and capture the needs of its users.

Mark Zuckerberg (Owner of WhatsApp) officially announced the feature's availability via his Facebook page by posting “Reactions on WhatsApp start rolling out today” here’s the screenshot of his post:

As there are various alternatives to WhatsApp such as:

  1. Signal
  2. Discord
  3. Telegram
  4. Snapchat
  5. Kik
  6. Skype
  7. Keybase

And many others, are introducing such features and people are turning to them for features as well as their privacy-first developments.

To cope with this, WhatsApp is not sitting behind the curtains and is always ahead of time by rolling the features that make the app a better platform for messaging and video calling.

WhatsApp started rolling out this Reactions Emoji for individual messages feature to all of its users and the team promised to add more reactions in coming updates.

Including these 6 emoji reactions, WhatsApp also rolled out large file sharing feature that enables you to share up to 2GB in size files and videos and increases the limit of group members to 512 (doubling the previous limit).
