Honor Magic8 Pro Air Launch Date Confirmed for January 19 in China

Honor announced the launch date for its Magic8 Pro Air smartphone in China on January 19 through a post on the social media platform Weibo.

The device joins the Magic8 series as a thinner and lighter variant of the Magic8 Pro, with the company highlighting its blend of performance and slim profile.

The Magic8 Pro Air measures 6.3mm in thickness and weighs around 155g. It includes a 50MP primary camera equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor.

The smartphone carries a tagline of "Pro in the Air." Honor described the device as "lightweight and powerful."

The Magic8 Pro Air uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, and a 5,500mAh silicon-carbon battery.

Pre-orders offer storage configurations of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Honor executive Fang Fei stated the company's persistence in the Air category despite industry reservations about ultra-thin smartphones.

The launch comes after the debut of the Magic8 Pro in the previous year.
